Suva Needs A-Game Up North

Suva will need to win their two games against Labasa and Dreketi to move up the table into second in the Vodafone Premier League.
The capital side is sitting on fifth place with 16 points behind table leaders Ba (28 points), Lautoka (20 points), Rewa (19 points) and Labasa (16 points).
Suva Football Association president Mahen Prasad said the two games over the weekend is a must win for them.
“We have been preparing extremely hard for these two games, the boys know how important a win is,” Prasad said.
“These two games is a must win for us and we cannot afford to settle for anything less if we want to stand a chance of qualifying for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League.
“We have four games left, we play Labasa and Dreketi this weekend and then meet Lautoka and Nadroga next week.
“We have a tough uphill battle but we need to work extra hard to secure the wins.
“I know a lot of these teams are aiming to finish at the top two so we will need to be bring our A-game this week and next week.
“Pita Rabo is doing well with coaching the boys and we will be treating every game like a final from here onwards.”
Suva started well in the beginning of the league winning three games and drawing in one but lost their last two games against Ba (2-1), Labasa (3-0) and Rewa (2-1) to slide down the table.
