FLP Has New Member Of Management Board

The step daughter of the late Jone Veisamasama – one of the founders of Fiji Labour Party – is a new member of the party’s management board.
Alesi Naituivau, who is also the party’s women’s wing president, said she was confident to take up the journey started by her step father.
“I am ready to take up the challenge and I will be visiting rural areas, talking to the women and will uplift them,” Ms Naituivau said.
She said she had strong links with the villages. This would allow her to reach out to the rural areas successfully, she said.
Ms Naituivau has joined the FLP after she was invited by the party president Lavinia Padarath to join the party’s woman’s wing.
“I am here to listen to what the party has to say and with what Mr Chaudhry has said in his speech, I am in,” Ms Naituivau said.
On board with her is Vyas Deo Sharma and Narend Padarath.
This was announced at the Fiji Labour Party Annual Convention and Delegates Conference at the Trans International Hotel in Nadi yesterday.
Fiji Labour Party Secretary General, Mahendra Chaudhry said the party office bearers otherwise remained the same as:
Mr Chaudhry said 50 delegates from around the country attended the meeting which had a major focus on the 2018 elections.
“Now as we are approaching the 2018 elections much focus was on the election itself as to how the party will approach the elections itself.”
