The Suva women suffered their second loss going down 1-3 to Navua in the Vodafone Women’s Senior Football League at Fiji Football Academy in Suva yesterday.

Manager Titilia Luveni said they had their chance to win or hold Navua to a draw but fatigue cost them the game.

“Most of girls who played were our Under-18 players,” Luveni said.

“These girls had their external exams and did not have time to train with us.”

Despite the loss, Luveni says, the Suva team have improved immensely compared to last year.

“There is still a lot to be done and now that the girls have finished their exams they can concentrate better on training and improving in the game.

“Overall, I am happy with the how the team has improved.”

In other results, Nasinu drew 1-1 with Tailevu/ Naitasiri.
