Tanivula: Win For Fiji

Telecom Fijiana head coach Iliesa Tanivula is adamant of a good outing in the Oceania Rugby 7s Championship starting on Friday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva
“It’s at home we want to win this for Fiji and our families,”Tanivula said.
“We have two new girls in Asena Yalewalili and Ana Maria Naimasi and Priscilla Siata is back with the core team from the last two years,” Tanivula said.
The women’s competition comprises seven teams: Australia, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Cook Islands, Tonga, Solomon Islands and hosts Fiji and will be played in round robin format with the top team to be declared the winner.
Tanivula said: “This is building up to the Women Sevens Series in Dubai and it’s a big challenge for us. We don’t have much competition where we can pick girls but we already have our Dubai squad.
“After Dubai then we can look at the extended squad and hopefully we can get in more girls.”
Tanivula also confirmed France- based players Litia Naiqato and Luisa Tisolo are likely to join the squad in preparation for the Women Sevens Series in Sydney on February 3-4, next year.
“They will be free in February and hopefully they come in during Sydney 7s, the door is open,” Tanivula added.
