ANZ recently held a two-day fraud awareness workshop facilitated by Mastercard experts and attended by ANZ, Bank South Pacific (BSP), Bred and Westpac staff.

“ANZ is fully committed to safeguarding Fiji against fraud,” said acting ANZ CEO Fiji, Saud Minam.

“Fraud is becoming increasingly sophisticated across the globe and we believe that all banks in Fiji will do better as one through collaboration and upskilling of our staff through these sorts of initiatives.

“We’re grateful to have had Mastercard experts in town who have taken our bankers through the latest global trends in fraud prevention.

“We believe that the knowledge gained will help us with early detection and prevention of fraud to safeguard our customers and our businesses.”

The fraud awareness workshop was facilitated by Mastercard VP Acceptances Development NZ, Craig Kirkland and VP Customer Fraud Management Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Graeme Lunan.
