Asco Awaits Parts To Begin Toyota Special Service Campaign

Asco Motors and Land Transport Authority have established there are in excess of 1000 Prius vehicles of different models in Fiji affected by the global Special Service Campaign.
These are vehicles manufactured between 2008 and 2016 which were registered by LTA as of May this year.
The Special Service Campaign concerns to defect in Fuel Suction Plate/Charcoal Canister in certain Toyota Corolla/Auris, Prius, Prius PHV, SAI and Lexus CT200h, HS 205h models.
It also related to Curtain Shield Airbag in Toyota Prius, Prius PHV and Lexus CT200h models manufactured between 2008 and 2015.
Asco Motors, in a statement from South Pacific Stock Exchange, stressed that not all vehicles in this range are affected.
Asco Motors said it has been in communication with the manufacturer on the supply of parts for these Special Service Campaigns.
However, it said due to their global demand, supply in the region has been limited.
However, Asco Motors assured its loyal customers and the general public that as the parts become available, Asco Motors will commence the Special Service Campaigns for affected vehicle and contact the respective customers.
“As the authorised Toyota distributor in Fiji, Asco Motors is committed to providing the necessary actions in order to limit any further confusion or uncertainty in this regard,” it said.
