In yet another successful drug raid by Police, around 228 green plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted at a settlement in Savusavu last Thursday.

The raid resulted from a tip Police had received.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the raid happened in Matalaqere settlement. No arrests have been made.

Ms Naisoro said the plants, which ranged between 0.5 feet to eight feet in height were kept at the Savusavu Police Station, awaiting analysis results.

“The farm owner is not known and we are requesting anyone who may have information to call Crime Stoppers on 919,” she said.
