The bi-annual multinational joint Exercise Croix du Sud conducted by the French Armed Forces of New Caledonia (FANC) was launched on Monday by its Commanding Officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Lanic of RIMaP-NC camp BROCH PLUM.

An infantry platoon along with RFNS (Republic of Fiji Navy Ship) Kula left the country last week for the exercise with the main objective of improving interoperability and the training of personnel and units to conduct multinational humanitarian assistance operations (OAH), assistance to disasters and evacuation of non-combatants.

They are part of Delta Company made up of US Army and French Forces.
