Sereana Bakani is working really hard so that she can achieve her goals and support her parents.

The 12-year-old Year Seven student of Gram Sangathan School in Buiduna Road, Nausori received the first prize at her school’s Annual Prize Giving Day yesterday.

“My parents work really hard to support me and my other three siblings,” Serana said.

“They always ensure that I have all my school needs. I am so thankful to my parents for their hard work and support towards my education,” she said.

Sereana said her father (Amenatave Bakani) is a farmer and her mother (Sereima Qirilagi) is a domestic worker.

“I want to work really hard and become a nurse because I want to help people,” she said.

Sereana said she was also thankful to her teachers for their guidance towards her studies.

“I have only one aim in life and that is to work hard and achieve my goals,” she said.
