Suspended Opposition parliamentarian Isoa Tikoca’s trial date has been changed to November 21, after the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) served the defence with an additional piece of evidence.

The matter was called before Magistrate Makereta Mua at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.

Tikoca is charged by the FICAC for failing to declare his liabilities before the 2014 General Elections.

It is alleged that he failed to declare his liabilities contrary to Section 24 (2) (a) (viii) and section 24(5) of the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding and Disclosures) Decree No. 4 of 2013.

Tikoca denies the allegations.

The case has been adjourned to November 16 to check on the amended agreed facts.
