Liverpool City Church International is welcoming everyone to their annual conference being held at the Civic Centre, Suva.

With the desire to offer all women a special opportunity to learn biblical wisdom, they also hope to inspire, enlighten and help individuals to apply Godly knowledge in their lives.

The church was founded in Liverpool, Sydney, in 1995 by Pastor Bill Valevatu and wife Jiutatia Valevatu.

Spokesperson Pastor William Valevatu said: “The church provides for the homeless and for the needy back in Sydney.

“This is the second year we are having our annual conference here in Fiji with the vision to empower women all over the world to arise in their purposes and for what God has called them to do; to be impacting to the society and their family,” Pastor Valevatu said.

While there is no Liverpool City church based here in Fiji, there are locals, who Pastor Valevatu said, feel connected with the Liverpool City Church International, despite the fact that they belong to different churches.

“We have connections with Pastors and leaders of different churches and this conference is for us to meet and for fellowship,” he said.

“The world is getting selfish so we trying to help and empower others to be like Christ.

“We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us, and that God died and rose again for our sins.

“And we are imitators of Christ, walk like him and be like him,” Pastor Valevatu said.

Liverpool City Church International has over 400 members in Sydney from different races and nationalities.

They believe in giving tithes and offerings for God.

The conference has church members attending from the United States and Australia.

The programme will end today.

“Our goal is to live for Christ,” Pastor Valevatu said.
