Savusavu Tourism Association Appoints Grant As Office Admin

The Savusavu Tourism Association (STA) has appointed Cindy Grant to the position of Office Administrator for the association.
This will now allow the STA to push ahead with broader reforms and improvements to operations of the association and marketing of Savusavu as a key tourism destination in Fiji.
Mrs Grant has extensive experience in the tourist industry and has previously worked at Coral Sun Fiji, the Shangri-La, Rosie Holidays and Koro Sun resort.
The initiative has been supported through a partnership with the Market Development Facility, a private sector development program funded by the Australian Government.
STA president Justin Hunter said they are delighted to have Cindy on board.
“Tourism is a central part of Savusavu’s economy, bringing in income to not only the resorts and other types of lodgings and accommodation,” he said.
“But also to the many other tourism interests like dive operators, tour providers and even local villages who host tourist visits.
“Cindy will help us in our efforts to become an increasingly professional organisation.”
Mrs Grant added: “Over the years I’ve got to know tourism from many angles, and I think that will be invaluable in my role with the STA.
“I’m joining at a potentially exciting time with the association with plenty of opportunities for tourism development in Savusavu.
“I hope to be able to build a strong relationship not only with the STA members but also with the national bodies like Tourism Fiji, Ministry of Industry, Trade & Tourism and the Fiji Hotel & Tourism Association.”
