Suva’s Capital Force look in strong contention to be at the top of the rankings in the Digicel Punjas Netball Super League following another round of competition at the Lautoka Multi Purpose Courts yesterday.

Force who are the defending champions, accounted for Nadroga’s Stallion Starlets 67-48 in their first match and staved off a strong challenge from Jisoko Plateau from Navosa to win 70-51 in their second game.

Also last year’s runner-up Western Zenith of Lautoka had two good wins beating Satellite Divas 58-32 in the first game and Central Swifts 58-25 in the second match.

Fiji Netball Association’s vice-president administration Vivian Costa said the fourth round of the completion would be held in Sigatoka.

“Once the fourth round is completed, then we will have a clearer picture on the rankings for the teams,” she said.

Costa said other teams have been improving in their play and this was shown by the results. The Netball Super League finals will be held in Lautoka on December 3.

RESULTS:

Capital Force 67 Stallion Starlets 48, Central Swifts 47 Jisoko Plateau 47, Western Zenith 58 Satellite Divas 3, Capital Force 70 Jisoko Plateau 51, Satellite Divas 51 Stallion Starlets 48, Western Zenith 58 Central Swifts 25.
