The Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts, Mahendra Reddy, wishes to advise parents, guardians and other stakeholders that all schools, that have spaces available, can intake students who expressed their interest to enrol there, but were out of the zone.

“The parents, who are outside of the zones but had expressed their interest in the schools, can contact the schools from today.

“However, their intake will only depend on the spaces available,” said Mr Reddy.

“All school heads have been advised that if spaces are available, this out of zone enrolment must be strictly carried out under first-come-first-serve basis.

“They have also been advised to ensure that this exercise is fairly carried out without any special treatment or bias for anyone,” he said.

The Minister for Education has called upon all school heads to ensure that they must disseminate complete, current and correct information to all stakeholders, including parents and children especially, in regards to the enrolment process and other necessary details.
