Israeli PM Netanyahu To Visit Fiji Next Year

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced he will be visiting Fiji in February.

The Israeli Times reported that the  upcoming trip was part of an ongoing bid to bolster Israel’s standing in international forums such as the United Nations.

“Why am I going to Fiji? Because fifteen countries, fifteen islands that each one has a vote in the UN are coming to that meeting,” Mr Netanyahu told the Israeli Times.

The visit will be part of Mr Netanyahu’s planned visit to Singapore and Australia in February.

Just earlier this month, Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama was hosted by Mr Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
