Westpac Helps To Protect Customers From Fraud

Westpac Fiji has heavily invested in enhancing the controls that protect customers cards or accounts from fraudsters who from time to time may try and misuse them.

Recently they’ve employed a number of technology initiatives in response to the heightened instances in Fiji of card skimming fraud.

The bank said these initiatives when coupled with an understanding of when their clients travel outside of Fiji allow them to dramatically reduce the opportunity for fraud to occur.

With the festive season fast approaching, the bank reminds customers of some actions they can take to assist the bank in ensuring their holiday is not negatively impacted by card fraud.

Also cusotmers are advised to contact the bank if they are in doubt about anything.

This includes transactions on their account or email correspondence they receive that carries the Westpac name.

Westpac Fiji stressed that customers who encounter such problems can contact the bank immediately via the call centre on 132032.
