Year 8 Results: Reddy Acknowledges Students’ Efforts Despite Cylcone Winston Disruption

The Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts confirmed that the External Examination Provisional results for Year 8 have been released.

It will be available to the students and parents from today.

Minister Reddy said: “This External Examination was the first one to be completed and as such the results of the 16,144 students who sat for the Examination will be released first.

The students and parents can obtain the results from:

(i) Their respective schools;

(ii) District Education Offices;

(iii) Online through the Government website : www.examresults.gov.fj

For students to access their results online, the security questions should be correctly filled in and should match the details that exist in FEMIS.

It includes, school year, student ID/index number, first name, surname, parent name and Date of Birth.

Mr Reddy said: “All the hard work, sacrifices and dedication of students after eight years of primary school culminate and indeed all must be excited to see how they did in the Exams.

“My advice to all children and parents is to take full optimism from the results.

“All children must take pride in their achievement and under no circumstances must feel that they let themselves and others down.

“You must know that you have done your best and the most important thing is that you are ready to step into another level of your educational journey.

“At this juncture, I acknowledge the efforts of all students, especially, the ones in the cyclone Winston ravaged zones for your remarkable efforts.

“Your resilience, determination and effort exemplifies that education is the top most priority in your lives.

“I also take this opportunity to sincerely thank all parents and guardians for collaborating with us and involving themselves in their child’s education.

“The support received from parents and guardians have been immense and I am sure this engagement will set higher benchmarks in the future,” Mr Reddy said.
