The Serua atheletics team participated at the Central FMF Chow Games yesterday after a lapse of seven years.

Team spokesperson Amalaini Waqaniceva said only two schools are representing Serua.

“The last time we took part was in 2009 so for most of our athletes are taking part in the Chow Games for the first time, she said yesterday.

“The 78 athletes are from Lomary Catholic and Pacific Harbour Multicultural schools.”

Waqaniceva added although they had difficulties preparing for the Games they were keen to showcase the athletes’ potential.

The two schools prepared together in the final week due to financial constraints.

Waqaniceva added that Serua have what it takes to win medals and are looking forward to another round of Games today.
