Fijians on the wing
Tomasi Boginiso, Nasinu
Most teams in this weekend test matches have Fijians on the wings.
The outstanding of all is the two boys running for France, and we have the Fijian with the Aussies and not forgetting one with the England side against Fiji. Do we have the best wingers in the world?
Whatever the results maybe we should be proud of the sacrifices these boys have made, and we only hope that one day they will boost the Vodafone Flying Fijians at its best.
They are well off in their respective teams and we can wish them the best in their future endeavours.
Wherever you maybe raising the Fijian flag we will pray for you. Good luck to all the Fijians playing this weekend and most of all good luck to the Vodafone Flying Fijians.
Timely reminder
Floyd Robinson, Nasinu
The earthquake that recently shook the South Island of New Zealand does raise fears one may not want to think of, but this is a reality.
Natural disasters strike anywhere and at any time, not always providing advance notice.
As we are deep into the hurricane season, one hopes that amidst all the celebration and feasting, families do think about the unexpected, taking necessary measures such as storing basic food supplies, candles, torches and checking on property.
All in all, the recent quake in the Land of the Long White clouds is a timely reminder.
Go Fiji
Wise Muavono,
Lautoka
Make me proud Flying Fijians. Areh, Go Fiji, go.
