Polls Staff Focuses On Security

The Fijian Elections Office (FEO) has placed the security of polling materials, workers and voters as paramount in the lead-up to the 2018 General Elections.
This is after the FEO, Fiji Police Force and Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption signed a Terms of Reference in Suva on Thursday.
The pact provides a common platform between FEO, FICAC and Police to share information on security matters during the elections.
This is a strategic endeavour between FEO and its security partners in anticipating and pre-empting security risks, mitigating their impact or probability of occurrence.
The three institutions are also members of the Electoral Security Advisory Group [ESAG] which emerged after the Electoral Risk Management Workshop earlier in April this year.
