Aussies Dominate Champs

Australia took top honours in the International Surfing Association World SUP and Paddle Board Championship held over six days at Cloudbreak, staving off strong challenges from France, New Zealand and Hawaii.
The Aussie’s men and women’s paddle boarders amassed a total of 11,959 points in the six different categories.
They scored five perfect scores, securing the maximum 1000 points in four categories by both the men’s and women’s teams.
Fiji earned 17th spot in the 26-team event collecting 2902 points.
France came in a close second with 10,573 points with New Zealand in third place with 10,049 points.
The six categories, Surfing, SUP Distance, SUP Technical, Prone Distance, Prone Technical and Relay was hotly contested over with the surf at Cloudbreak providing one of the best surfing venues in the ISA calendar.
