Big 6 Back For Dubai
Six members from Fiji’s victorious Olympic 7s team will return to Dubai for the first leg of the World Sevens Series 2016-2017.
Captain Osea Kolinisau, Jasa Veremalua, Samisoni Viriviri, Seremaia Tuwai, Kitione Taliga and Masivesi Dakuwaqa have booked themselves a spot.
Other notable members, Nemani Nagusa and Joeli Lutumailagi, have also made it. They are joined by two new players, Setareki Bituniyata and Kalione Nasoko.
The two-day Dubai 7s starts on December 2 with the Vodafone Fijian 7s team as defending champions.
Fiji are also defending the Sevens World Series title this year with the notable absence of coach Ben Ryan, who completed his contract with Fiji Rugby after the Rio Olympic Games in August.
The team is currently being coached by Nacanieli Cawanibuka, who was the fitness and conditioning coach last year.
