A truck driver for Bargain Box (Fiji) Limited is admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital after the truck he was driving tumbled down a slope yesterday in Dakuivuna village in Wainibuka, Tailevu.

A witness at the scene, Apolosi Qalilawa, 64, said the accident happened around 6am while he was outside in his garden.

“I heard the crash then I looked up towards the main road,” Mr Qalilawa said.

“The truck almost broke in two while tumbling down the hill over three times,” Mr Qalilawa said.

He said the truck was on its way to Nausori from Lautoka when the accident occurred.

“I heard someone saying the truck was on its way to Nausori for delivery when the accident occurred,” Mr Qalilawa said.
