Sydney Ba Scoop Veteran’s Title
The Sydney Ba football beat Canada 2-0 to claim the RC Manubhai/ APCO Coatings Veterans International tournament at Prince Charles Park, Nadi yesterday.
The side worked away with $5000 while Canada settled for $1500.
Sydney Ba coach Sachin Kamal said he was very proud of the team and their achievements.
“We were really focusing on this afternoon soon as we landed from Sydney,” he said.
“Finally we have done it, we have been a soccer force in Sydney and we have made 52 grand finals and have 52 trophies with us.”
Canada coach Arun Chaudary said, they played against a great team in the final.
“It’s good to be home and playing here again,” he said.
Meanwhile, in the veteran’s semi-finals Sydney Ba beat Nadi 4-2 on a penalty shootout while Canada edged out Ba Legends 1-0.
