A woman in her 40s is in custody for her alleged involvement in the attempted murder of her partner earlier last week.
Initially, the case was lodged as an attempted suicide whereby a man in his 30s allegedly tried to take his own life.
But the case was amended after thorough investigations conducted by officers from Valelevu revealed otherwise.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on the night of Thursday, 17/11/16 at Sakoca Settlement whereby the victim sustained burns and is currently admitted in critical condition at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva.
The suspect has been held by Police for questioning as investigations continue.
