Dakuinamako Surprised By Passing-Out Win

Twenty-three-year-old Josefa Dakuinamako walked away with the Best Overall and Best Wet Trade award during the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Engineers Cadet passing-out parade in Nabua yesterday.
The RFMF sapper hails from Galoa, Lekutu, Bua and was nominated based on his good conduct, personal attitude and performance on and off duty.
Mr Dakuinamako said he was surprised, but proud of his achievements.
“I feel honoured for getting this award amongst all my other brothers who have also worked hard,” he said.
“I wish them well for their future and I know we all will do great things together with unity and team work.”
He dedicated the awards to his mother.
“My mother has been sick and the doctors have not yet confirmed what actually happened to her, but I am dedicating this award to her for her belief and trust in me,” he said.
His fiancé Vasitia Vuniwai said she was proud of her husband-to-be.
“I am so happy and proud of Josefa today, because he has proven to all of us that he is capable of doing great things in life.
“I am certainly looking forward for our great future together,” she said.
