Bail Denied For Alleged Abductors

The two men who allegedly abducted a French national were denied bail by the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.
Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne told Saimuel Gage, 21, and Tevita Bose, 29, to apply for a formal bail application as they have sought Legal Aid representation.
Bose requested the court if he could be taken to a health centre, to which the Magistrate agreed, and ordered that he be taken for a medical check-up.
On November 20, 2016, the pair were alleged to have abducted the 27-year-old woman at Victoria Parade in Suva.
Bose is also charged with one count each of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving motor vehicle without a driver’s licence and driving a motor vehicle in contravention of the third policy risk.
The case was adjourned to December 7 for a hearing on their bail application.
