The aspiring veterinarian will join Yat Sen next year

It was a proud day for Year 8 student, Sasha Magnus, who took out the Dux award yesterday.

The St Marcellin Primary School student said she was looking forward to the event for a long time, and all the sacrifices she made were worth it.

Her favourite subjects are basic science and maths, which she scored high marks in.

“I thank my parents for their support, my siblings and friends,” said the teenager.

Her proud mother, Farzana Magnus, said: “We are just so proud and happy for all she has achieved today.”

Sasha will be heading to Yat Sen Secondary School next year and she wants to be a veterinarian one day.
