Bituniyata: I Worked Hard

Setareki Bituniyata is one of the new players in the Vodafone Fijian 7s team who left yesterday for the first leg of the World Sevens Series in Dubai.
Representing Fiji for the first time, the 21-year-old said this is a moment he has been waiting for.
“I am really excited and really looking forward to Dubai,” Bituniyata said.
“This is a dream come true for me ever since I was a small kid. Growing up this was my goal and my target to either sign a contract or represents my country.
“Being called up to camp and train with them was a proud moment for me and I gave it my all and now I will be wearing the famous white jersey.
“I know I have worked so hard and I feel like this is my reward.
“But I want to prove myself and let everyone know why I was picked because I worked hard and earned it.
“It is a special feeling knowing out of all the talented rugby players out there, I was picked to represent the country I love.”
Bituniyata hails from Toga, Naqalimari in Nadroga and is the nephew of Fiji 7s rep and Olympian Semi Kunatani.
“Semi continuously encouraging me to do my best and is always giving me advice and he is always pushing me to work hard.”
