Kalabu Primary School’s Dux is excited about joining Queen Victoria School come January.

The Year Eight student, Eparama Turaganivalu, 14, of Visama Village in Nakelo, Nausori, walked away on Wednesday with the top award, five recognition certificates and trophies during the school’s prizegiving in Nasinu.

He said it was now time for him to fulfil his dream of joining QVS.

“I will be the first one from my family to attend QVS and I am very excited about it,” he said.

“I did not plan to attend, but I applied and when I got the confirmation, my family was happier than I was because I would be the first to attend a high profile school.”

His mother, Adiana Sogoliku, 35, was proud of her son’s achievement and recognition to attend QVS.

“This is an early Christmas gift to me and the family of Eparama.

“Wining so many achievement awards during the prizegiving and even more precious is his acceptance to attend QVS,” she said.
