Jahnisha Aims To Provide Parents Comfortable Life

Jahnisha Hussein wants to become a successful doctor who can provide her parents a better lifestyle.
The Year 13 student was named Dux of Dudley High School during the prizegiving ceremony on Wednesday.
“We’re not really financially stable, so I just want to achieve a stable and comfortable lifestyle for my parents,” she said.
“My parents motivated me and I really want to work hard so I can also support them.”
She says her biggest challenge was to study at night and balance her time in looking after her three younger siblings.
“I did not really expect it, but I was thinking that I was one of the candidates,” she said.
She was the top student in her class last year and scored 365/400 this year in the Fiji Seventh Form Examination.
She said it was through her family and relatives’ positive words of encouragement that pushed her to excel.
Despite the struggle to constantly come to school on time, the young Dux from Lami said her determination to succeed pushed her.
