Mawi: We’re Ready
Eroni Mawi will captain our Fijian national Under-20 side against Cook Islands at the ANZ Stadium, Suva, today.
The stakes are high for our national team to perform to expectation as they will be playing at home. But the boys are confident of a good game in the first round of the Oceania Rugby Junior Trophy tournament.
During the captain’s run at ANZ Stadium yesterday, Mawi is looking forward to the match.
“For the last few weeks preparations have been going well so we will just have to go out there and get it,” he said.
“The final run was good I would just like to thank God for the weather and can proudly say that the boys are ready to take on the Cooks tomorrow.
“We are very confident of a good outing.”
This will be the first time for the Totoya, Lau native to make his debut as captain.
