A former Post Fiji employee who allegedly set fire to the Seaqaqa Post office on September 14 this year was bailed yesterday by the High Court in Labasa.

The former clerk, Artika Anjani, charged with one count of theft, one count of money laundering and one count of arson, appeared before Justice Achala Wengappuli.

The 36-year-old mother was represented by her lawyer, Ami Kohli, of Kohli and Singh Solicitors and Barristers.

She is bailed on strict conditions such as to make a cash deposit of $2500 with the registry and produce two sureties who should enter into surety bonds of $1000 each.

The accused must reside at Tabucola, Labasa and must not change it without prior permission of High Court.

She should report to the Labasa Police Station every Saturday between 7am and 7pm.

She was also told to surrender her travel documents and not interfere with prosecution witnesses and not have any form of contact with them.

The case been adjourned for mention on December 15.
