Top seed Fijian White face Cook Islands in the men’s semi-final of the Oceania Beach Volleyball Championship at Smugglers Cove Resort in Nadi, today.

This was after the Fijian pair Inia Korowale and Qilu Elliot defeated Pacific Games gold medalist Papua New Guinea in their final pool match yesterday.

“We won our pool games undefeated and looking forward to the semi-final,” said captain Korowale.

“We always stick to the game plan, basics and do our variations which allowed us to beat PNG.

“We request all Fijian fans to come out in numbers and support our Fijian teams.”

In the other semi-final, Australia face PNG in what should be an epic battle.

In the women’s semi-final, world ranked No.17 and defending champions Vanuatu  face Fijian Blue’s Laite Nima and Talei Qalilawa.

In an uphill battle Fijian Black (Talica Rawaro/Pauline Aitcheson) face Australia in what should be a thriller.
