Proud Mum, Nai Lewa couldn’t contain her emotions when her son took the Dux award on Wednesday.

Aliki Filimone Koi of Nabua Primary School grabbed top honours at the school’s prizegiving ceremony last week.

“I want to thank my mother for supporting me and my teachers as well,” Aliki said

He also won the Outstanding award in the vernacular category and is heading to Queen Victoria School for his secondary school education. He aspires to become a doctor.

Nabua Primary School has a school roll of about 700 students from Year 1-8.
