It was a proud moment for Ashni Chand, 42, when her son, Avishek Narayan, on Tuesday was presented the Dux award.
“I am so happy and proud with my son’s achievements,” she said.
“He is a very dedicated student and hardworking student.”
Avishek is a Year 13 student of DAV Boys College.
“I am so thankful to my parents and teacher for their support,” the 19-year-old said.
“The competition at Year 13 level was very tough and representing my school in some sporting events and handling leadership role was not easy.”
Mr Narayan said despite all the obstacles he worked hard to receive the Dux award.
