The Khan family in Nadi had a reason to smile when their daughter Zaakiyah Khan was the Dux of Nadi Muslim College.
Zaakiyah is the first in the family to achieve this.
She said: “It was a very tough competition but thanks to the Almighty for making this award achievable.
“I have never been afraid to try despite all the obstacles.
It has made me much more determined and focused.
“It is a turning point.”
She intends to further her studies in Computer Science and Information Technology.
“This will be a huge challenge for me as Computer Science is not an easy field.
“I would also like to acknowledge my siblings, Farisha and Zahra Khan for their constant support.”
