  Nausori Primary School held its annual prizegiving ceremony on Friday. Parents, guardians and friends came in numbers to acknowledge the hard work put in by the students and teachers.

Nausori Primary School held its annual prizegiving ceremony on Friday.

Parents, guardians and friends came in numbers to acknowledge the hard work put in by the students and teachers.

But most significantly, to farewell the Year 8 students who will soon start their secondary education next year.

Among the award recipients are three cousins. Dionisia Puleiwai Koroi (Year 8), received the excellence award for most outstanding student in the English language. Her cousins, Emele Tuinamata (Year 8), received the excellence award for most outstanding student in the iTaukei language and best leadership award for girls; Emele’s young sister, Grace Tuinamata (Year 6), scooped the award for coming first in her class.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of my family, friends and loved ones who supported me and guided me through my 8 years of primary school education at NPS,” Dionisia said.

Chief guest at the event was Divisional Educational Officer, Aseri Vatucicila.
