Vodafone Fijian 7s skipper Osea Kolinisau said Qatar has one of the best facilities in treating injured athletes and it was beneficial for them to be in its capital.
The team are in Doha for three days as guests of the Qatar Rugby Federation (QRF) before they fly across to Dubai to play in the 2016/17 World Sevens Series opener, which starts on Friday.
QRF president Yousef al-Kuwari, said the visit by the reigning World Sevens Series champions and Rio Olympic Games gold medallists was a great privilege.
