Eleven men and a woman who face sedition charges have pleaded not guilty to breaching their bail conditions. They appeared before Nadi Magistrate Chandani Dias.

Adi Cuvu Gavidi, Ratu Tevita Khakhainabowale, Ratu Inoke Tasere, Mosese Navaci, Jimi Korobete, Eroni Rikoriko, Peneasi Naqau, Ulaiasi Rabua, Alifereti Nakunivou, Jorama Ratulevu, Raicula Rokovou and Seru Kunalagi appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday.

The accused were further remanded until December 1 when Magistrate Dias would give her ruling on the bail application made by their lawyers, Aman Singh and Niko Nawaikula.

The 12 accused allegedly breached their bail condition on November 6, in Nadi by meeting together, which was not a family gathering.

In 2015, the group along with four others from Nadroga, were charged with one count of sedition and inciting communal antagonism.
