Police are investigating a matter of aggravated robbery at a DVD shop in Namaka, Nadi.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro, confirmed no arrests have been made yet.
It is alleged the incident took place yesterday morning.
Employees of the neighbouring shop said the man allegedly strangled a woman when she had gone to get something from the bathroom.
When the Fiji Sun arrived at the shop, it was closed.
It is understood that the shop has been closed since the incident took place.
