After Games
Interestingly, after all the hype surrounding our gold medal win at the Olympic Games certain matters are going to end up in court, it seems.
Dickie Bird flew in with news that Fiji Rugby headed for legal action against FASANOC and prominent businessman Culden Kamea over a certain dispute. When approached, FASANOC and Mr Kamea declined to comment, indicating that the dispute is heading for the court.
Company questions
Looks like a company operating here and abroad is having some strife.
And, if word on the street is to be believed, this company planned to ship equipment out of here but was stopped. The saga continues.
In the Know
Eyebrows plus questions have been raised in relation to the selection for the Know India Programme.
This is conducted for the diaspora with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India website.
Questions being raised here are about whether there is diversity in the local selection.
Changing stations
Changes happening in a local television station have got industry people talking.
Is the revamp or restructure sign that the in times past dominant station could be going up for sale?
The situation may be a lot clearer by early in the New Year.
Divided loyalty?
At a recent Government-funded school project opening, one teacher found himself in an awkward position acknowledging the Government assistance. The trade union that he belongs to is a known critic of the Government’s education policies.
