The seven-year-old girl who went missing from Narain Jetty in Walu Bay, Suva on Monday morning was found yesterday.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the girl, Mereani Veitoyaki, reunited with her father.

Ms Naisoro said the woman from Rewa who took Mereani to her home had reported at the Community Post about her intension.

She had seen Mereani alone at the wharf, approached her and in knowing that she had arrived from Taveuni, took her to the Community Post and gave Police her contact that if anyone came searching for the child, to call her.

Police were dispatched to Rewa yesterday to bring the girl and reunite her with her father.

Mereani had arrived on a boat from Taveuni to Suva on Monday with relatives to spend the holidays with family members in Suva. Relieved father, Tanasio Gaga was thankful that his daughter was found.

Both Father and daughter were reunited at the Nausori Police Station.
