Vanua Levu had its first ever Bread Lovers shop opened last Friday and people have been flocking to the site ever since.

The branch which was opened at the new MH Supermarket in Labasa Town has been abuzz with activities as young and old enjoy the services offered for the first time in their home town.

Labasa Chamber of Commerce president Satish Kumar said this was a new change which added flavour to Labasa Town.

‘The opening of this new MH supermarket which Bread Lovers is a part of, offers a variety of services to the people of Labasa,” Mr Kumar said.

“This is a modern shop which is self-sufficient, where we have a restraint, a supermarket, a hardware store and a bakery.”

In an interview with one of the many people who converged at the store, Angeline Chand said: “We the people of Labasa are very happy to have Bread Lovers here for the first time.

“They offer a variety of pastries that we never had before.

“Ever since they opened, I have been bringing my children here and we are just so thankful for the existence of a shop which only operated in Viti Levu to open a branch here.”

Bread Lovers Labasa Supervisor Krishnal Maharaj said: “We have been very busy all throughout the day.

“People have been coming in large numbers to the bakery.”
