Fijians Beef Up Defence

The Fijian Under -18 basketball team plans to exert extra effort in their defence against Guam in the FIBA U18 Oceania Championships 2016.
The team will take on Guam in their first match at Vodafone Arena in Suva today.
Assistant coach Kenneth Taliu said, “We have been working hard on our defence; I think the last time we played against Guam our defence let us down.
“We have trying our best to capitalise on our side and we are trying to keep ourselves in the game, “he said.
The team comprised Collin Lal, Api Lutuciri, Zeck Nabakewa, Semesa Wainidroa, Emosi Tuinabewa, Aiden Tudreu, Jordan Dokonivalu, Roko Kori, Mosese Maiwiriwiri, Toni Simi, Joshua Vugona and Steven Tabuatamata.
“I believe the team is prepared to take on the challenge.
“We have selected the final 12 after we have been training together for the past six months.”
He said, “Although basketball is a minor sport in the country we are inviting everyone come down and support the Fiji team.
They need all the support they can get..
