Vodafone Fiji sponsorship manager, Adriu Vakarau said, they are proud to be partnering with Fiji Football Association to support the development of football in the country.

“Through our sponsorship, we strengthen our bond with the sport,” he said during the Vodafone National Club Championship’s 2016 launch in Suva yesterday.

“The true reflection of our passion and commitment for the sport can be seen in our bid to firm-up the foundation of football by supporting grass root level of football in the country. We are proud to be the name behind our football teams in supporting them to achieve victory.”

Vakarau said this is the first time that they have come on board as sponsors for the NCC.

“This is a great platform for deciding on a NCC among the giant clubs in Fiji and we are confident that through our financial boost, we can take the championship to greater heights.”

The NCC has grown in stature since its inception in 1986 with the many clubs entering the competition.

This year we will witness 12 teams battle it out for the title in Ba, this weekend.

“With these words, on behalf of Vodafone, I acknowledge the efforts of Fiji Football Association for their part in organising the 2016 Vodafone National Club Championship and welcome all the club teams partaking in this year’s competition.”
