Passion drives Samoan father to learn more about Almighty.

After three years of sacrifice and commitment to learn about God, Mefiposeta Tupou receive the Highest Academic Achiever Award.

The 60-year-old man from Samoan said he had no plans to join the college at first.

“I came to Fiji to visit my daughter who works as a doctor here then I ended up joining the Bible school,” the South Pacific Bible School graduate said after the ceremony at the Calvary Temple in Samabula, Suva. Twenty-three students from the college graduated on Tuesday.

He chose to attend the college because he wanted to know more about God for his personal spiritual life.

“There is a lot of temptations because of the modern technology, but through God, anything is possible,” he said.

He advices both young and old people not to be discouraged from learning and growing their spiritual knowledge.

“It’s not too late to study and to learn more about God, no matter what age you are,” he said.

He plans to spend the Christmas holidays with his family in New Zealand after returning to Samoa.

The Samoan plans to do his masters in the Philippines.

“I wish all the best and all the happiness for a peaceful Christmas to all of Fiji. Thank you Fiji for all this generosity and the good time I shared with the people I would come across in town, on buses and wherever I go,” he said.

Meanwhile, the graduates are from Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Nauru and Fiji.

Students who completed the three-year programme graduated with either a Bachelors or Diploma.

The students were sent by their local churches and will return to their country of origin after graduating.
