Westpac Appoints New Retail Banking Head

Westpac Fiji has announced the appointment of Dennis Quayle as its new head of retail banking.
Before taking on this role, Mr Dennis was the Westpac director corporate and institutional, South Island, New Zealand.
He previously held the position of country head for Westpac Tonga.
During this time, he transformed the business into a significant contributor through his strong communication, leadership, innovative solutions and close community engagement.
“We’re very lucky to have enticed Dennis to Fiji,” said Westpac Fiji general manager Brett Hooker.
“He’s a highly skilled and enthusiastic banker with more than 20 years’ experience in the New Zealand banking industry.”
Mr Hooker added Mr Dennis has worked right across Westpac – in retail, corporate and commercial banking.
“And I know that he’s also got the necessary people experience to fit into Fiji’s culture and help our customers, communities and staff to prosper and grow,” he said.
Mr Dennis will be based in Suva but will travel regularly across Westpac’s branch network to visit customers and staff.
He takes over from Michael Mjaskalo who has moved to another leadership role with Westpac Fiji and is now Head of Global Transactional Services (GTS).
