All Freight Logistics Bureta Football Club president Sunil Karan hopes his key players will recover in time for the first game of the Vodafone National Club Championship tomorrow.

The Suva club plays Greenstar at Govind Park, Ba.

“There is so much soccer and the players have not had enough rest and some of our key players are injured,”he said.

“Some have recovered but some have not and I’m hoping they will be all fit and ready to play our first game against Greenstar,” Karan said.

“We are not having a full turnout at training but we are confident.”

Bolstering the Bureta side are Suva reps led by defender Waisake Navunigasau, Tomasi Uculoa and Shahil Dave.

“We are confident of a positive performance this year. In the past two years we lost out in the semi-final but this year we are hoping for the best.”

In the feature match of the day, defending champions’ 4R Electrical meets Civic Football Club at 1.30pm.

Six pool matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday before the winner of each pool progresses to the semifinals.

The first semi-final will be held at 9.30am on Monday, followed by second semi-final at 10.45am and the final is scheduled for 3pm.

The games will be held at Ba Academy Grounds in the weekend.
