Fiji will take on Nauru in the Australia Football League (AFL) Under -15 Oceania Cup final at 2pm today.

The home side lost to Nauru in their opening game 16-32. But after their win in their final pool match yesterday, the Fijians are optimistic of providing a good challenge.

The Maciu Raida- coached side defeated Tonga 34-17 and walloped the Solomons 53-1 in their final pool match yesterday to book their spot in the final.

“Our aim now is to defend our title and we know that our match against Nauru in the final will be a tough game so we need to prepare ourselves well.

“We lost to Nauru in the first match because we lost focus and they utilised all the opportunities.

“We calling on all Fijian fans to come out in numbers and support the boys.”

Nauru coach Zac Temaki is also anticipating tough encounter with the Fijians.

“Fiji plays tough and physical, they make hard tackles and they will want to defend their title so we are looking forward to that,” Temaki said.

The final will be held at Albert Park at 2pm.
